Steve began his accounting career as a cadet accountant with a Brisbane firm of chartered accountants in 1975 concurrently attending the Queensland University of Technology studying his accounting degree. Steve and his family moved from Brisbane to Stanthorpe in 1986 to operate the current business. Steve is a Director of C&A Accountants Pty Ltd.
Over a career of some 50 years, Steve has specialised in advice to small business including legal structures, finance of working capital, acquisition of property, plant and equipment, business taxation, retirement, estate planning and management advice and assistance.
Steve loves to be involved with his clients’ business and proudly injects a level of enthusiasm and motivation into all client matters.
Robert graduated from Central Queensland University in 2003, qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2005 and commenced employment with C&A Accountants in 2008. Robert joined C&A Accountants after working for a chartered accounting firm in Rockhampton for 6 years.
Rob’s particular interests involve tax legislation and research, keeping up to date with these ever-changing areas through ongoing training. His specialities include the taxation of trusts, an area of considerable current public debate.
Rob’s seniority makes him an obvious choice to mentor the accounting staff and is an integral part of our inhouse staff training team. Robert is a Director of C&A Accountants Pty Ltd.
Leonie commenced with C&A Accountants in 2004 and holds a Bachelor of Agribusiness and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting). Leonie is part of the senior management team and enjoys working with clients, building long-term connections, ensuring satisfaction, identifying growth opportunities and coordinating our team of Accountants to deliver tailored services. As a senior Accountant, Leonie manages many of our professional and large business clients with tax compliance, general and accounting advisory, activity statement and income tax preparation. Leonie enjoys working closely with clients to assist them in growing their businesses through strategic planning.
Alyssa qualified as an accountant at the Queensland University of Technology in 2007 and commenced work with C&A Accountants in 2008. Alyssa completed her CPA qualifications in 2012.
Alyssa is a Stanthorpe local, raised on a horticulture/fruit growing property. She works with the accounting team servicing a wide range of clients.
Amber joined C&A Accountants in November 2022 as a receptionist and part of the Administration team. Amber is dedicated to providing assistance to both our team and clients.
Amber takes pride in being the first point of contact for clients and supporting them with their enquiries.
Amy joined the C&A Administration team as a receptionist in early 2025. She enjoys being the first point of contact and welcoming face of C&A Accountants. Amy’s passion is to create friendly and efficient front-office experience for both our clients and the team.
As a local girl, Caitlin came to our office for high school work experience in 2009 and we welcomed her back in August 2012 as a trainee accountant.
Caitlin has completed her external studies through the University of Southern Queensland and celebrated her graduation in September 2015.
Caitlin manages the accounting and secretarial functions for our Self-Managed Superannuation clients. One of our senior accountant/managers Caitlin also looks after larger client groups in respect of their accounting and taxation affairs.
Catherine made the transition from Brisbane to Stanthorpe in 2013 and has been part of the C&A team since 2021. Catherine has a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping and Accounting.
Catherine’s most rewarding part of her job is developing a relationship with her clients and the feeling of being part of their business.
Fletcher joined the team in 2022 initially working with the Administration team, quickly finding his passion for numbers and decided to become an Accountant after working as a bookkeeper for a year. He is now studying for his Bachelor of Business through the University of Southern Queensland on top of working fulltime and is enjoying every minute of it.
Fletcher has been an active member of the community for many years and enjoys working with clients as a young enthusiastic member of the C&A team.
Jazmin joined the Administration team in August 2020 and has been dedicated to providing professional and efficient administrative support within our office ever since.
She enjoys assisting both our team and clients, helping to create a welcoming and supportive environment.
After graduating from Murdoch University with a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting), Katherine began her career working for several large, chartered accounting firms in Brisbane where she gained extensive experience across a broad range of industries.
In 2020 she decided on a change in scenery and moved to Stanthorpe where she commenced with C&A Accountants in 2023. Katherine oversees our accounting team and assists our individual and small business clients with tax compliance, general and accounting advisory, financial statement preparation and BAS and income tax preparation. Katherine enjoys working closely with clients to help them achieve their objectives.
Ninette is the longest serving staff member at C&A Accountants, commencing with the previous firm at the age of 17.
Although she has done almost everything there is to do at C&A Accountants, her current specialities relate to income tax preparation for salary and wage earners and business clients. Ninette also assists clients with Centrelink requirements.
Nell graduated from the University of Wollongong with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1981. She has since undertaken post graduate studies with The Tax Institute.
Nell has worked as an accountant in Wollongong, Sydney, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, South Burnett, the Burdekin and the Granite Belt.
Nell worked for C&A Accountants from 1998 to 2000 and returned working with C&A Accountants in 2020.
Sarah has been part of our bookkeeping team since 2024, in a casual position. Sarah has a Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping, along with 22 years running a business as a sheep and cattle producer. This makes connecting with our clients a natural process.
Skye worked for C&A Accountants from 2012 to 2019. We were pleased to welcome her back to the firm in 2025. Skye works with Caitlin in the administration of our Self-Managed Superannuation funds.
